Angela may

Wadsworth City Council, Ward 4

Hi, I’m Angela May, people call me Gie. My pronouns are they/them, and I’m running to be your representative for Ward 4, Wadsworth City Council.

Since 2019, I’ve proudly called Wadsworth home. Like so many others, it didn’t truly feel like home until I was able to build connections and find community here. I know that it is difficult for people to feel at home when they don’t feel connected. My goal is to help make sure everyone in Wadsworth feels welcome, valued, and proud to call this place their home just like I do.

For over a decade, I’ve worked at a locally owned company where I specialize in investigating and resolving concerns. That experience taught me how to identify root causes, problem-solve, and deliver results. These are skills I want to bring to Wadsworth City Council to improve our lives.

I give back to the community I love by volunteering with Feeding Medina County, Wadsworth Alleycats, and Balloons Over Wadsworth. I also participate in donation drives for Marian’s Closet, support local fundraising events, and spent years volunteering with the Medina County Parks. Service to others has always been at the heart of what I do, and I am committed to contributing wherever I can to strengthen Wadsworth.

I’m passionate about listening to residents’ concerns and being a voice for everyone, especially long-term renters and local businesses. Wadsworth is a place where people care for one another, and as your city councilperson, I will work to ensure our community remains strong, welcoming, and vibrant.

I’m Angela “Gie” May,  and I need your support to become the next Ward 4 City Councilperson, whether that is volunteering, donations or your vote. I am dedicated to creating a united community, because a strong community begins with a voice for all.
